Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
Individuals at this level use initiatives and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.
The individuals also use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

The following entry requirements apply to enrol in this qualification
- Prospective students must be 18 years of age
- Must have successfully completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent schooling (Minimum)
- · Should have Diploma or equivalent qualification in related fields e.g. Business, Management, Leadership ( Preferable)
- Must have current over-all IELTS score of 6.0 with no score lower than 5.5 in any band ( For all international students)
- Must have satisfactory performance outcome in the ACAB Pre- enrolment Interview
- Successful completion of ACAB Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (Optional, only when there is a perceived need to re-assess students’ Language, Literacy and Numeracy status)
- Previous experience of 2-3 years in managing business operations and demonstrable interest in leadership and management (Preferable)

Who should do this course?
This course will be suitable for those who are currently leading a key business operation or, those who will be leading such operation in future.
The qualification will also be suitable for those who should apply specialised leadership and management skills in their current or future roles as leaders and managers.
Those individuals who would like to have advanced knowledge and skills in managing finance, organisational change, business plans and business risks and the over-all operations of an enterprise may undertake this course.

The tuition fee for this course may be paid in six (6) instalments in the set due dates. The Enrolment Fee and the part of the tuition fee (A$.2,300) must be paid prior to enrolment. The Materials Fee will be payable every term before the start of the term.
All payments may be made by Bank Transfer to the nominated account or by cash.

Students must dedicate at least twenty 20 hours a week for the scheduled classes. In addition, the course may require an additional ten (10) hours per week to learn the provided materials and undertake required assessments.
Students must do all the required assessments to successfully complete this course.
The assessments will include undertaking organisational case studies, demonstrating practical skills in a real or simulated workplace environment, project work, research, and knowledge tests.
All materials needed for students’ assessment in this course will be provided by the College. Students need not incur any extra cost to buy the materials for this course, except the material cost paid at the start of each term.
If a student has already achieved some skills and knowledge required by this qualification they may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The RPL process requires a student to:
- provide all relevant documents of their prior learning
- discuss their relevant experience to their assessors
- provide an opportunity to their assessor to speak with their workplace supervisors, and undertake some practical tasks, if required
Successful completion of all units in this qualification will award the student with the BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management qualification. Those who can’t complete all units will receive Statement of Attainment in the unit/s they have completed.
After receiving BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management graduate may undertake a higher qualification in Business or Management, for example, BSB80215 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership or, BSB80315 Graduate Certificate in Leadership Diversity.
Potential career pathways for graduates of this qualification include roles as an Executive Manager, Director Manager or Human Resources (Strategy) Senior Executive. Previous graduates of this program have gone on to roles ranging from clerical and administrative positions through to professional and management roles across a wide variety of industries including Financial and Insurance Services, Health Care and Social Assistance and Public Administration and Safety. *(As per data from the Australian Government Department of Education and Training and the National Centre for Vocational Education Research).
