Course description

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others. This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.

Entry requirements

The following entry requirements apply to enrol in this qualification. 

  • Prospective students must be 18 years of age 
  • Must have successfully completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent schooling 
  • Must have Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in any discipline 
  • Must have current over-all IELTS score of 6.0 with no score lower than 5.5 in any band ( For all international students) 
  • Must have satisfactory performance outcome in the ACAB Pre- enrolment Interview 
  • Successful completion of ACAB Language, Literacy and Numeracy test

Those individuals who would like to become an exceptional leader by developing staff members’ capabilities in an organisation. And, those who would like to lead the design and implementation of the training and learning systems.  

Individuals who are interested in learning advanced skills in innovation, research, organisational change and development, strategic planning and implementation, and coaching or training should also do this course.

Payment methods

The tuition fee for this course may be paid in eight (8) instalments in the set due dates. The Enrolment Fee and the part of the tuition fee (A$. 2,650 in total)  and the material fee for the first term must be paid prior to enrolment.

The Materials Fee will be payable every term before the start of the term.

All payments may be made by Bank Transfer to the nominated account or by cash.

Students must dedicate at least twenty 20 hours a week for the scheduled classes. In addition, the course may require an additional ten (10) hours per week to learn the provided materials and undertake required assessments.

Students must do all the required assessments to successfully complete this course.

The assessments will include:

  • Undertaking organisational case studies
  • Doing advanced research
  • Project work and reporting
  • Demonstrating practical skills in a real or simulated workplace environment, and
  • Knowledge or written tests

All materials needed by the students’ for their assessments in this course will be provided by the college

Students need not incur any extra cost to buy the materials for this course, except the material cost paid at the start of each term.

If a student has already achieved some skills and knowledge required by this qualification they may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The RPL process requires a student to:

  • provide all relevant documents of their prior learning
  • discuss their relevant experience to their assessors
  • provide an opportunity to their assessor to speak with their workplace supervisors, and
  • undertake some practical tasks, if required

Successful completion of all units in this qualification will award a student with the BSB680615 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) qualification. Those who can’t complete all units will receive Statement of Attainment in the unit/s they have completed.

After receiving the award of BSB680615 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) the graduate may undertake higher qualification at Masters’ level e.g. Master in Management or Master in Business Administration.

After successfully completing BSB680615 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) students’ may apply for jobs related with change management, organisational learning. HR, and training management. The job title may include:

  • Director, workforce planning and development
  • General manager human resources
  • General manager or head of school of the Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • Learning and development consultant
  • Manager, learning and change management, and
  • Manager, learning and development
